How to use garlic?
Garlic is best consumed raw because its active ingredient – allicin – loses its properties if it’s processed thermally. Crush and slice the cloves and leave it aside for 15 minutes before you eat it. When you crush the cloves, it activates a reaction that increases the allicin’s bio-availability.
To get full benefits from garlic consume garlic in the morning before eating anything else, by consuming it on an empty stomach it allows the body to absorb the nutrient easier.
Raw Garlic and Honey
Mince 2-3 garlic cloves and mix them with one tablespoon of honey. Consume this mixture every day and you’ll notice how energized you’ll feel and how much healthier you’ll be.
Garlic Flu Tonic
If you have sensitive skin it might be best to wear gloves while preparing this tonic. Be careful not to touch your eyes as it will irritate them from garlic’s natural oils.
- ½ yellow onion (chopped)
- 5 garlic cloves (chopped)
- 2 red chili peppers (chopped)
- 1 tbsp. of chopped ginger
- Squeezed juice of 1 lemon
- Organic ACV
How to prepare it?
- You’ll need one medium jar to place everything inside.
- Place the chopped onions and garlic into the jar
- Add in the chili peppers with its seeds
- Place the ginger on top of this
- Add in the lemon juice and pour the ACV.
- Make sure to leave about 1 cm empty space on top of the jar.
- Close the jar and place in a dark and cold spot.
